Online Group Therapy
Group therapy provides several opportunities often absent from individual psychotherapy sessions. The unique aspects of group therapy include:
- The inherent healing power of group cohesion often goes far in reducing long-held feelings of “separateness” and isolation so often evident in clinical depression and substance abuse;
- Interaction among group members affords the psychotherapist the opportunity to observe unconscious patterns being played out among clients in real time;
- Being privy to intimate, vulnerable sharing by group members often “normalizes” internalized self-judgments that may have produced deeply-held shame for much of one’s life;
- Cost-sharing inherent in group therapy reduces the per-session financial burden for individual group members while providing the unique benefits inherent in group therapy.
During this challenging period of social distancing Mike is beginning an online therapy group based on his Reality Attunement Therapy in April 2020. The group sessions will be held Mondays from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. to commence on Monday, April 20th. The group will meet for twelve weeks and be limited to ten participants. The total cost for the twelve sessions will be $900.00. We will meet on Google Meet/Hangouts, a HIPPA-compliant online platform.
